A Life Well-Lived

Born in Fort Worth, Texas, on December 5, 1921, Vivienne’s life has been a tapestry of experiences. Vivienne met her husband at church when she was 15 and he was 19. Until his passing in 2003, Vivienne and her husband were inseparable. She attended North Texas State Teachers College and pursued a fulfilling career as a dedicated educator. In 2006, she found her home at Robson Reserve at Sun Lakes, where she inspires and uplifts those around her.

A Heart of Gold

Vivienne’s impact on our senior community is immeasurable. Her infectious laughter, quick wit, and genuine interest in others have forged lasting bonds with fellow residents and team members alike. She is a true inspiration, demonstrating that age is merely a number and that a positive outlook can transform every day into a celebration.

When asked what advice she would give to her younger self, Vivienne’s answer was, “Being happy is a choice and I choose to be happy”.

A Strong Family Bond

Vivienne’s family is a source of immense joy and pride for her. She has three children, five grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Her love for her family is evident in every story she shares and every smile she bestows.

A Secret to Longevity

When asked about the secret to her longevity, Vivienne jokingly attributes it to her frequent visits to Subway and Burger King. While we can’t confirm this claim, one thing is certain: Vivienne’s zest for life and positive attitude are key ingredients to her remarkable journey. A typical day for Vivienne is taking a half-mile walk across the street to either Burger King, Subway or Fantastico’s Mexican Food for lunch.

As we gather to celebrate Vivienne’s 103rd birthday and a century of grace, we feel the power of human connection, the importance of cherishing every moment, and the enduring spirit of our community. As for Vivienne’s 103rd birthday wish, she told us, “All my wishes have been filled. I’ve lived a good, good life”.
