Robson Reserve at PebbleCreek Resident Artist Spotlight: Bari’s Paintings
Robson Reserve at PebbleCreek is thrilled to shine a spotlight on a talented resident artist, Bari, whose captivating watercolor paintings have been featured in the Art Gallery within our community.
Bari’s exhibition, aptly named her “Pandemic Paintings,” reflects a period of introspection and creative exploration. During 2020, Bari found solace and expression in the fluid medium of watercolor. “During the pandemic, I turned to watercolor,” Bari explains, “because of its ease of cleanup. My daily routine often included walking my beloved dog, Luna, followed by my time in the studio, and painting.”
Bari developed a particular love for depicting antique windows and doors, with a strong inspiration from the timeless beauty of Greece. Beyond watercolor, Bari’s creative spirit extends to other artistic pursuits. She also enjoys the intricate and meditative process of diamond painting and creating pottery pieces at the PebbleCreek Creative Arts Center, providing another outlet for her artistic expression as a resident artist.
One striking characteristic of Bari’s paintings is her use of the color blue in her artwork, from pottery to watercolor pieces. “I’m particularly drawn to blue,” Bari shares, “and it often features prominently in my work.” This connection to blue creates a visually captivating experience in each of her pieces.
