This year marks a momentous occasion for our community as we celebrate our 25th anniversary and our senior living legacy. Reflecting on our quarter-century of dedicated service, enriching lifestyles, and fostering a true sense of belonging has transformed this senior living community into a beloved home for countless residents. From our opening in 2000 as a for-sale condominium community (originally as Renaissance Luxury Living), to its transformation into the vibrant senior community it is today, Robson Reserve at Sun Lakes stands as a beacon luxury retirement living.

Edward J. Robson pioneered the vision of providing active adults in the East Valley with a thriving community. The vision manifested in the early 1970s with the development of Sun Lakes. Building on the success of Sun Lakes, Robson Reserve at Sun Lakes opened in 2000. The community originally offered low-maintenance, for-sale condominium living. From the beginning, this community has offered a resort-style life, complete with modern residences, elegant dining, and high-end amenities. In addition, convenient services such as housekeeping, transportation, and restaurant-style dining enhanced the lifestyle for residents. Adapting to market needs, Robson Reserve at Sun Lakes transitioned the vision to offer independent living apartments and later added assisted living and memory care services.

Shaping Our Future Together with a Forward-Thinking Approach

As the needs of Sun Lakes residents have evolved, Robson Reserve at Sun Lakes has demonstrated remarkable foresight, offering senior apartment rentals and expanding its campus. In 2016, a new building dedicated to assisted living and memory care was added to Robson Reserve at Sun Lakes. This new building featured 78 assisted living apartments and 28 memory care suites. Continuing the exceptional lifestyle for seniors at Robson Reserve, the new building included luxury amenities like a dining room with patio, resort-style pool, game rooms, piano lounge, and much more. In fact, the new building earned a Gold Award in the Best of 55+ Housing Awards by the National Association of Home Builders in 2017 as the Best 55+ Assisted Living Community. Most recently, the community earned recognition by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living with a Bronze Award for its exceptional resident care.

    Apartment remodels in the original building reflect the community’s deep commitment to exceeding residents’ expectations and enriching their experience. Each updated residence features upgraded countertops, modern appliances and high-end finishes you would expect with a luxurious apartment.

    What better way to elevate the lifestyle and continue the senior living legacy than with a multi-million dollar remodel of the dining room and other amenity areas? The approximate 4,300 sq. ft. dining room transformed into a vibrant, upscale hub for social and culinary experiences. A hearth oven and cooking demo space replaced the old salad bar and the revitalized “R” Bar fosters social connections. Common areas were also enhanced to provide an environment where residents can thrive, create cherished memories and cultivate meaningful connections.
